They came from 11 nations!

In the recent past we were able to host and participate in a Global Teen Challenge Training Institute here in Honduras. Around 40 people representing 11 different Latin American countries were in attendance. They received training pertaining to the many different facets of Teen Challenge. Now they are better prepared to train the leaders and develop their centers. Please click on the two links below to view a short video and photos.

Time of Divine Appointment

Exciting news! We are glad to inform you that in April we were approved by the AGWM Board to return to Honduras as Full-Appointed Missionaries. The Lord put this dream in our hearts years ago, we are thrilled to see the beginning of this dream.
We are nearing the end of our 2 year Missionary Associate term to Honduras. It has been quite a journey. We began our term by studying Spanish and the culture. From there we have been involved in various ministries. Marie has been teaching 6th grade at CEAD Christian School where Rachel & Jason have been 5th and 7th graders. Dave has been teaching Bible at CEAD. He has also had the opportunity to preach and minister in many churches here in Honduras.
We have been able to help TC Honduras build up their personal Bible study and discipleship program. We have hosted MAPS construction and ministry teams. TC Honduras hosted a Global Teen Challenge Leadership Training Institute, attended by leaders from 11 other countries.
Our time here has been fulfilling and eventful. Thank you for helping this happen. Looking back we see how the Lord has been training and equipping us for the ministry that now lies ahead.
Upon returning to Honduras we will continue ministering with TC Honduras nationally, doing compassion ministries with Convoy of Hope (food, health & resource distribution) and will be representing LAC Commission on HIV/AIDS.
Soon we will return to the US to visit our supporters and raise our new budget. See you soon!

Dave, Marie, Rachel & Jason Turner

We will be available for speaking
engagements Aug 07-Aug 08.

Garbage Dump Church!

I few weeks ago I had the pleasure of preaching at the A/G church known as the garbage dump church. It is next to the city dump where many poor live and dig through garbage to find things to eat or sell.

After the service three couples where married, this is a big deal, because many in this area just live together for years. Many have children, but don't marrie because of the coast of the wedding and legal documents. This is a great step forward for the church, know these couples can become members of the church and begin to full fill God's destiny for their families!
